To provide a management method of font data for accelerating an operation by shortening the time required for font development and to provide a system for applying it.
Used font data are stored in a font cache for reutilization, the number of times of the use of the font data is accumulated (S6), and at the time of switching the operation, a prescribed number of pieces of font data is stored in the descending order of the accumulated use frequency in the font cache (S3). At the time of switching the operation, the font data stored in the font cache are stored in a nonvolatile storage medium (S8) and the font data stored in the font cache are read from the nonvolatile storage medium (S3). The number of times of the use of the font data is accumulated respectively corresponding to a host ID(S2) or a user ID, and at the time of switching the operation, a prescribed number of pieces of the font data is stored in the descending order of the use frequency in the ID in the font cache.
