Abstract:
A management method comprising: acquiring bottleneck load data, which is time-series data of the load on a bottleneck resource during a past period, said bottleneck resource having caused a degradation in the performance of a computer system during the past period; acquiring related load data, which is time-series data of the load on one or more related resources during the past period, said one or more related resources affecting the load on the bottleneck resource; selecting, on the basis of a tendency indicated by the bottleneck load data, a countermeasure strategy against the performance degradation, from among a plurality of countermeasure strategy candidates that each indicate a strategy for determining parameters to be used to operate the computer system; selecting, on the basis of the selected countermeasure strategy and a tendency indicated by the related load data, a countermeasure against the performance degradation, from among a plurality of countermeasure candidates that each indicate operations of the computer system; and determining parameters for the selected countermeasure on the basis of the countermeasure strategy.
