To avoid repeated tests by recording all the tests in a data file of each patient.
This management method for medical data of patients includes a central or local patient file to which access is permitted by the patient or based on a permission code under control of the patient. The patient data include all the preceding tests followed by examination data and doctor's opinions. Check-in by the patient is conducted prior to a new test by a doctor. This check-in is conducted based on initial presuming diagnosis and provision of a test plan. Permission to the tests is given by a comparison means, or especially an expert system, only in case related preceding tests are not conducted within a prescribed period. Settlement of costs on new tests is permitted only when the tests and test results are stored as information in the patient file.
