Abstract:
The present invention provides an entrance/exit safety device for a conveyor for transport of persons, configured in a manner that can prevent damage to a foreign object, a comb plate, a step or the like caused by the foreign object being pulled further in during the time-lag from when it is detected that the foreign object is caught and the conveyor for transport of persons is stopped. This entrance/exit safety device for a conveyor for transport of persons comprises: a comb plate which is disposed on the step side of the entrance/exit of the conveyor for transport of persons, and which pivots in such a manner that the step-side end thereof is raised when a foreign object is caught between the comb plate and the step; a detection lever which is coupled to the pivoting motion of the comb plate so as to pivot in a state of protruding toward the step from the comb plate; a detection switch which is actuated by the pivoting motion of the detection lever and detects that the foreign object is caught: and a first stopper which abuts on the detection lever after the actuation of the detection switch and blocks further pivoting of the detection lever. The detection lever is decoupled from the pivoting motion of the comb plate upon abutting on the first stopper.
