Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of an automatic step changing device for a mandrel 10 used in a tube expanding machine and enhance the driving force for step changing.
CONSTITUTION: Plural pattern pieces 30 are arranged in the step direction of the mandrel 10. The mandrel 10 is thrusted downward at a front first stopping position and relieved upward at a rear second stopping position by the pattern pieces 30. Rotating cams 41 are provided corresponding to the plural pattern pieces 30. The stopping positions for the pattern pieces 30 are selected by adjusting rotating angle for the rotating cams 41 with a servomotor 42 and back and forth moving of the rotating cams 41 with an air cylinder 45.
