To provide a maneuvering method and device enabling very low speed navigation in a ship equipped with three or more outboard motors.
In the maneuvering method for a ship having three or more outboard motors 5R, 5L, 5M provided in parallel, performing shift operation and throttle operation of all outboard motors 5R, 5L, 5M by two operation levers 14R, 14L performing shift operation and throttle operation of two both-end outboard motors 5R, 5L and having operation range of the operation lever 14R, 14L which consists of a forward traveling domain, a rearward traveling domain and a neutral domain therebetween, when positions of the two operation levers 14R, 14L are in predetermined positions in the neutral domain, shift position of the outboard motor 5M arranged between the two both-end outboard motors 5R, 5L is set to a predetermined throttle opening and in the forward traveling or the rearward traveling domain.
