Abstract:
To provide a manganese and iron-containing water treatment method and device that can sufficiently oxidize and remove manganese and iron without adding a large amount of sodium hypochlorite, when water to be treated contains an organic substance such as ammonia and humic acid in addition to manganese and iron.SOLUTION: After adding hydrogen peroxide to raw water containing manganese, iron, ammonia and organic matter, water is passed through a biological activated carbon column 3, and after adding sodium hypochlorite to the outflow water, a flocculant is added and water is passed through a filter 9 to obtain filtered water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
