Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the sticking retension of a mixture in a cylinder body to improve combustion efficiency by forming a coating layer formed at an inner peripheral surface and a joint face of a cylinder body constituting an intake manifold, using fluorinated coating material containing fluoro-rubber and fluororesin.
SOLUTION: An intake manifold 15 of an engine has a thick-walled cylinder body 16 formed of hydrin rubber. A flange 8 is vulcanization-bonded to the joint face 5 side end part of the cylinder body 16, and an insert cylinder 11 for inserting an air charging part of a carburetor is formed at an end part on the opposite side to the joint face 5 of the cylinder body 16. A coating layer 17 for preventing the cylinder body 16 from being swollen by fuel is formed at an inner peripheral surface 9, the joint face 5 and a flange side joint face 7 of the cylinder body 16. The coating layer 17 is formed using fluorinated coating material prepared containing fluoro-rubber and fluororesin, and its durability is enhanced while preventing the sticking retension of a mixture.
