To provide a manipulator which can quickly switch a gripping mechanism according to an object.SOLUTION: A manipulator (10) includes a gripping section (110) which grips an object. The gripping section (110) has a plurality of gripping mechanisms (111, 112) each of which can independently grip an object and a switching section (113) which moves any one of the plurality of gripping mechanisms (111, 112) to a gripping operation position for performing a gripping operation within the gripping section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
