To solve the problem, wherein a generator for charging a battery cannot be maintained readily and cannot be added on later, in conventional manually operated machines having electric motor for starting engine.

The manual operation machine having an electric motor for starting an engine consists of an engine; an electric motor for starting the engine; a battery for driving the electric motor; a generator for charging the battery, a driving wheel for driving the generator; a clutch drum rotated by the electric motor; a clutch drum housing that surrounds the clutch drum; a cutout formed in the clutch drum housing to expose part of the outer peripheral surface of the clutch drum; and a mounting device for mounting the generator on the clutch drum housing so that the driving wheel of the generator is brought into contact with the outer periphery of the clutch drum via the cutout.
