To provide, simply and at a low cost, a manual reset type thermostat for cutting off a carried current, in a state where the reset shaft is thrusted.
A fixed contact 2 is fixed to a base 1. In a plate spring 4, the base end part is held to the base 1, a moving contact 3 is formed at a tip part, and the moving contact 3 is energized to the fixed contact 2. A movable operation material 5 is swingingly borne by the base 1; and a tip part thereof is pushed up by depressing a base end part 5b. The pushing up of the tip part of the movable operation material 5 separates the moving contact 3 upward from the fixed contact 2. A guide pin 6 is movably arranged vertically in the base end-side upper part of the movable operation material 5, and the base end part of the movable operation material 5 is depressed, based on reversing action of a bimetal 7. When a reset shaft 8, installed under the movable operation material 5, is pushed upward, the moving contact 3 is pushed up and the bimetal 7 can be reset by pushing up the guide pin 6.
