Abstract:

To provide a flaw detection apparatus facilitating inspection work while enhancing the detection reliability for a flaw and the efficiency of inspection work, low in cost and excellent in practicality.

A guide rail 10 is attached to the periphery of the welded place of a steel pipe 1 to be inspected and scanning jigs 11, 12 for manually scanning an oblique angle flaw detector 14 in the peripheral direction and axial direction of the steel pipe are attached to the guide rail 10. A scanning position detection means 13 detecting the scanning position of the oblique flaw detector 14 is provided in the scanning jigs 11, 12. Water is supplied to the oblique angle flaw detector 14 from a pump 15 to perform scanning in such a state that a contact part is always filled with water. The flaw echo signal from the oblique angle flaw detector 14 is analyzed along with a scanning position detection signal by a personal computer 23 to display and record a flaw detection result.
