PURPOSE: To obtain a composition, stable for a long period without causing the separation, good in slipperiness for an iron without requiring shaking before the use, capable of improving the iron operating efficiency and suitable for a manual type spray.

CONSTITUTION: This manual spray type fiber finishing agent composition contains (a) 0.1-10wt.% water-soluble polymeric size such as a modified starch or an acrylic acid/methacrylic acid copolymer, (b) 0.01-5wt.% at least one nonionic surfactant selected from ethoxylates of alcohols having a branched carbon chain such as isotridecyl alcohol, ethoxylates of secondary alcohols and Pluronic (R) type nonionic surfactants and (c) water.
