To provide a manual tool for assembling a duct, which allows anybody to easily assemble the square cylinder duct by fitting and hooking a button punch seam, without generating noise.

The manual tool for assembling a square cylinder duct functions to fit and connect between male and female seams B, A of the button punch seam which is formed on a connection side of each of duct forming blanks 17a, 17b, to assemble the duct. According to the structure of the hand held tool for assembling the duct, a squeezing plate 3 of the male seam A, arranged at a front portion of a main body that can be hand-held, for opening/closing operation, and a J-shaped support plate 4 of the female seam, having an erect tip 5 to be fitted into an internal gap in the female seam B, are opposed to each other, and the male seam A is squeezed into the female seam B by closing operation of the squeezing plate 3 and the support plate 4, to thereby engageably connect the male seam A and the female seam together.
