Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect an unneeded card or a card (card forgotten to be extracted etc.), that can not be collected manually within the device.
SOLUTION: This reader is provided with a card ejection slot for ejecting a card 5 existing at a card stop position 6 backward in a card insertion direction (a), a carrying means which carries the card 5 from the position 6 to the back, a driving means driving the carrying means and a card positioning means that positions the card 5 at the card stop position, and ejects a card 5 that is not returned to a card insertion slot or the card that can not be collected manually to the back. Thus, the card 5 that becomes unneeded any more and does not have to be returned to the card insertion slot can temporarily be stored within the reader, and the card 5 that is not collected from the card insertion slot after data communication is finished is also ejected to the back from the card stop position after a prescribed time passes and can be collected within the reader.
