Abstract:
1. Process for the production of 3-hydroxy-6-phenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,5-benzodiazoci- nes of the general Formula I see diagramm : EP0004024,P13,F1 as well as their acid addition salts, in which R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R1 is a phenyl-, 2-halophenyl or 2-trifluoromethyl-phenyl group and R2 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group or a trifluoromethyl group, characterized in that 2-aminobenzophenones of the general Formula II see diagramm : EP0004024,P13,F2 in which R, R1 and R2 have the meanings defined above, or their acid addition salts are cyclised at elevated temperature in the presence of an inert organic solvent.
