PURPOSE: To obtain an air-permeable self-adhesive tape having excellent consistent air permeability by spraying water on the surface of an undried self-adhesive solution layer provided on a release sheet, drying it, and laminating an air- permeable base material thereon.

CONSTITUTION: A solution of a self-adhesive comprising, e.g. an acrylic resin in an organic solvent is applied to the surface of a release sheet to form a self-adhesive solution layer thereon. While this layer is not dried, water is sprayed on the surface thereof with a spray gun, etc. In the initial stage of drying, hot air is blown at 60°C with a velocity of 10m/sec to the surface of the self-adhesive layer for 10sec or longer for drying. It is then laminated on an air-permeable base material to give an air-permeable self-adhesive tape or sheet.
