PURPOSE: To improve high load discharge performance of a battery by improving a method of injecting an electrolyte, and increasing an electrolyte amount absorbed to a positive electrode mix.
CONSTITUTION: A metal vessel 1 of a positive electrode case is pressurecharged with a positive electrode mix 2 molded into tubular shape, and a cup-shaped separator 3 is inserted to inside this mix, to inject an alkaline electrolyte 9 into the separator 3. Here is injected an injection amount of the electrolyte of ability or more which can be absorbed by the separator 3 and the positive electrode mix 2, and after a short time, surplus amount of the alkaline electrolyte is sucked. Next, a gel-shaped negative electrode 4 is injected into the cup- shaped separator 3. Thus by shortening a process of injecting an electrolyte, a manufacture line can be shortened, and also discharge performance of a battery can be improved by increasing an amount of absorbing the electrolyte to the positive electrode mix.
