PURPOSE: To provide manufacturing method of aluminum alloy foil, which can obtain an electrolytic condenser cathode foil having high electrostatic capacity.
CONSTITUTION: The aluminum alloy containing 0.020-0.100% Si, 0.025-0.120% Fe, ≤0.001% Cu, 0.002-0.012% Mg 0.002-0.0012% Zn, ≤0.001% Ti, ≤0.002% Ni and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, is prepared. To a cast ingot produced by using this aluminum alloy, soaking treatment and hot rolling are applied, and intermediate-annealing is applied to the obtd. aluminum sheet. Condition of the intermediate-annealing is at a temp. of 150-530°C and for 10 sec-25hr. After intermediate-annealing, cold rolling is applied and rolling reduction ratio in the cold rolling is made to ≥90%. Before the intermediate- annealing, a first cold rolling may be applied and the cold rolling, reduction ratio at this time is made to 15-95%. Further, by applying the first cold rolling, the rolling reduction ratio of cold rolling after intermediate-annealing, can be enlarged to ≥80%.
