To provide an amorphous alloy formed product which reduces the problems caused by the difficulty of drawing-out of a wiry core member after casting and the durability and has a fine hole in a good productivity for a short time at a low cost, particularly, a method and an apparatus for producing a ferrule (capillary) for an optical connector.
In the method for producing the amorphous alloy formed product 4 forming the fine hole 5 by casting molten material that can produce the armorphous alloy in a cavity 2 of a metallic mold 1 preset with the wiry core member 3, the cast product in the state of holding the core member is dissolved by dipping into core member corrosive liquid or is melted by heating, to remove the core member from the cast product. As the other method, a method for using the wiry core member coated with a material for releasing to be repeatedly usable by improving the draw-out property of the core member or a method for using the wiry core member made of the material having a larger thermal expansion coefficient than the cast material or a method for giving the wiry core member the vibration in the axial direction at the casting time, can be adopted.
