PURPOSE: To prevent generation of separation and minimize using quantity of rubber.

CONSTITUTION: When carcass plies 14 are to be wound on a tire forming drum at forming a green tire, a gap 17 is provided between one end part 14A and other end part 14B in the longitudinal direction. A dimension (B) of the gap 17 is made to be 15mm or less and the end part 14A and the end part 14B are arranged so as not to be superposed. When the green tire is formed by vulcanization molding, a rubber 15 around the gap 17 pressured by a bladder of a vulcanization molding machine flows into the gap 17 so as to be embedded. In a carcass play layer and a breaker layer of a pneumatic tire formed by vulcanization molding, a part where the number of layers of cords is increased partially is not formed and intervals of the cords are kept constant, so that generation of separation can be prevented. In addition, a rubber for obtaining the intervals of the cords is not necessary, so that using quantity of the rubber can be minimized.
