A process for producing aromatic hydrocarbons enriched in benzene content comprises contacting a feedstock comprising one or more of ethylene, propane and propylene, with a catalyst containing a zeolite having a Constraint Index of 3 to 12, such as ZSM-5 and in the presence of hydrogen sulfide.
