To reduce earing in forming by adopting the annealing omitting proc ess of a hot rolled steel sheet so as to improve the yield of products and to reduce cost.
At the time of hot-rolling an austenitic stainless steel slab, by taking heating temp. as ≥1250°C, the total draft of rough rolling as ≥75% and the cumulative draft of the last three passes of the rough rolling as ≥60%, after completing the rough rolling at ≥1100°C, finish rolling is lubricated so that the average coefficient of friction between a roll and a rolled sheet is ≤0.2. And, after executing the finish rolling so that the total strain (logarithmic strain: r) of the rough rolling and the total strain (logarithmic strain: f) of the finish rolling are r≤f, the sheet is coiled at ≤600°C, pickled without executing annealing of the hot rolled sheet and, after that, cold rolling to annealing is executed.
