PURPOSE: To obtain great joining strength and to improve reliability on strength and sliding performance by forming flat part for joining to the other end of a ball joint and outer circumferential surface of a ring-like sliding part and joining with resistance welding.
CONSTITUTION: A connecting rod 13a and a spherical body 13b of the ball joint is integratedly formed with plastic working of cold forging, etc., from the one raw material. The flat part 13e facing to the flat end of the end face 13c of the connecting rod is formed in a part of the outer diameter of the ring 13d. At the time of executing the electric resistance welding to the connecting rod 13a and the ring 13d through both flat parts, as the pressurized force of the electric resistant welding is uniformly loaded to the joining surface, weldability is improved and good welding condition at the joining part can be obtd.
