PURPOSE: To manufacture bead without squashing an embossed pattern and without complicating an operational process and an apparatus, by passing a beforehand embossed sheet within the trough of a specified shape.

CONSTITUTION: An embossed pattern B is calender-formed by an embossing roll 2 to a sheet A pulled out from an extrusion-former 1 immediately on a way of further carry, then it is formed into predetermined bead shape by sending it in a trough 3. In the trough 3 the sheet A carried is at first shaped to nearly an inverse U shape cross section near an introducing part 3a, becomes gradually narrower as being sent to a delivery port 3b and finally shaped to an Ω shape cross section, bead body C is formed. Thus, embossing is formed beautifully on the entire face of the sheet and the bead is formed without squashing the embossed pattern.
