Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a bearing ring and to shorten the cycle time by omitting turning.
SOLUTION: The bearing ring is manufactured through the process A preparing a cold forged ring-like stock IH, the process B heat treating the stock IH and the process C forming a track groove 3 in the inner diameter surface or outer diameter surface of the heat treated stock IH by grinding. In the cold forging process A, after the former process A1 forming the stock 1A into a ring shape, the inner and outer diameter of the stock 1E are finished into a prescribed diameter in the press process A3. Also, chamfering 4 is applied to the edge part of the inner or outer surface of the stock 1E in the press process A3.
