To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a belt with toothed double sides having the steps of simultaneously forming a lower toothed portion on an outer periphery of an inner mold and an upper toothed portion on an inner periphery of an outer mold in the step of vulcanizing to mold one time by using a vulcanizing pan.
In the mold apparatus, a tooth cloth and an unvulcanized rubber sheet are wound on an outer periphery of an inner mold 21, a core wire is spirally spinned thereon, the cloth is further wound on the rubber sheet to form an unvulcanized belt sleeve. Two or above split molds are radially associated with an outer periphery of the sleeve, and an outer mold 23 having an integral toothform as a whole is externally inserted. The thus assembled integral mold apparatus 20 is inserted fixedly into a predetermined vulcanizing pan, covered from its exterior with a rubber jacket in a sealed state, and toothforms of both the surfaces are simultaneously formed in one time vulcanizing step.
