Title:
MANUFACTURE OF BOILING HEAT TRANSISTOR PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03267694
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve a heat transfer rate on the inside of a pipe even in a nucleus boiling region where the circulation amount of a refrigerant and the degree of drying are low by forming an inverted triangular groove between adjacent rectangular protrusions substantially in contact with each other at the tip ends of the protrusions on a metal band plate surface upon manufacture of the pipe.

CONSTITUTION: A substantially cylinder-shaped cross section boiling heat transfer pipe 10 includes a flow passage 11 on the inside thereof. A plurality of inverter triangular-shaped grooves 12 provided successively spirally on the internal peripheral surface 10a of the boiling heat transfer pipe 10 are formed among rectangular protrusions 13. Upon manufacturing the pipe, the inverted triangular-shaped groove 12 is forned with ease form a rectangular groove 15 formed between the adjacent rectangular protrusions 13 at a stage of a metal band plate 14 by allowing the tip ends 13a of the rectangular protrusions 13 to substantially make contact with each other. A stable boiling nucleus can be produced in the groove 12 even in a region where the circulation amount of the refrigerant and the degree of drying are low, i.e., even in a region dominated by nucleus boiling, because of the groove 12 being inverted triangle-shaped, and hence a heat transfer rate can be improved.
