Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a core unnecessary by pouring molten metal into a mold rotating around a vertical axis, forming and solidifying a cylindrical part and thereafter, stopping the rotating of the mold to form a bottom part.
CONSTITUTION: The mold 11 is rotated and the molten metal is poured from a sprue 9 to form and solidify the cylindrical part of a product 1. Thereafter, the rotation of a mold 11 is stopped or the rotating speed is dropped to the condition near the stop, and the unsolidified metal is solidified by collecting to the bottom part to form the bottom part of the product 1. In the manufacture of the bottomed vessel 1, the manufacturing process is simplified because the core is unnecessary. The yield is high because a riser is unnecessary, and the product having fine casting structure and a little gas defect and high quality is obtd.
