Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten a manufacturing period by forming and solidifying a cylinder part with molten metal till stopping the rotation of a mold or dropping to the condition near the stop, pouring the new molten metal for forming a bottom part into the mold just after the above casting to form the bottom part.
CONSTITUTION: The molten metal having the capacity for forming only the cylinder part of the bottomed vessel 1 is poured into the rotary mold and the cylinder part having a specified thickness is formed and solidified with molten metal. Just after solidifying and forming the cylinder part, the new molten metal for forming the bottom part is poured into the mold, and at the same time. the mold is rotated by the number of revolution having ≤20 GNO shown with the equation. Wherein, N: the number of revolutions of the mold (rpm), GNO: centrifugal force shown with multiple of gravitation, D: the inner diameter of the mold (cm). By this method, the dimension and the surface roughness of the inner surface of the vessel in the cylinder part of the bottomed vessel are improved and the manufacturing period is shortened and the cost is lowered.
