Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive religious ceremonial goods which presents a clear precious stone looking gloss after cremation by a method wherein a fireproof object baked temporarily beforehand is glazed and baked and moreover, coated with a gold solution to be dried and set in a coffin to undergo the cremation.
CONSTITUTION: An object 1 which is extruded into a gypsum mold using kneaded clay to be molded is dried and baked temporarily to obtain an unglazed pottery. Here, a hole 3 is made in the undersurface of the object 1. The pottery is coated with a white glaze and baked to make a primer. Then, the surface of the object 1 primed is coated with a matte gold liquid by a turpentine brush to dry. Then, a kanthal wire erected in a hole made at the central part of a bottom plate of a clay unglazed container is inserted into the hole 3 formed on a bottom surface of the object 1 to be fixed on the bottom plate and an upper lid of the container is fixed into a fitting type bottom plate. The container is set in a coffin as intact and is taken out after cremation and the object 1 in the container is taken out to polish the surface thereof with cloth. Thus, a product with a clear gold gloss is obtained.
