Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cell having high leak-proof performance and stable characteristic, by performing the assembling in the ambient removed of carbon dioxide.
CONSTITUTION: In the manufacture of a cell employing manganese dioxide as positive pole active substance while zinc or cadmium as negative pole active substance and alkali electrolyte, the cell is assembled in the ambient removed of carbon dioxide. The relation between the carbon dioxide concentration and the cell characteristic is such that the inner resistance under discharge or the stock deterioration after one year will increase at 150 and 500PPM. Consequently when limiting CO2 concentration below 100PPM, a cell having stable characteristic can be manufactured.
