PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of a junction without changing remarkably the equipment by positioning plural cam pieces or journal pieces in a prescribed position and a prescribed phase of a hollow shaft and bringing a hollow shaft to tube expansion, and thereafter, joining both joint surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: A cam piece C to which prescribed strength has been given by performing a heat treatment is positioned in a prescribed position and a prescribed phase and fitted and inserted into a hollow shafts S in which a brazing filler metal 22 has been stuck to a fitting position of the cam piece C. Also, a roughly cylindrical collet jig 23 which is expanded and opened in the peripheral direction when both ends are pressed is inserted in advance into the inside of a hollow shaft S corresponding to a position of the cam piece C. Subsequently, from both the ends of the hollow shaft S, bar members 24, 24 whose tip is sharp are inserted and both end faces of the collet jig 23 are pressed. The collet jig 23 is expanded and opened to the vertical side in the pressure direction, the hollow shaft S is brought to tube expansion and the cam piece C is joined. Next, when electrodes 25, 25 are allowed to abut on the upper and lower parts of the cam piece C and electric conduction heating is executed, the brazing filler metal 22 is melted, cooled by stopping the electric conduction and the cam piece C and the hollow shaft S are further joined.
