Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To the manufacture a cast-on-strap coupling lessening formation of fine.
SOLUTION: This manufacture of cast-on-strap couplings 15 without fine pores of a lead-acid battery includes plural steps of cleaning of lugs 13, 14 of a positive plate and a negative plate by combined effects of flux and a supersonic vibration, water washing of the plate lugs 13, 14 under the supersonic vibration, and desiccation of the plate lugs 13, 14 by gas blasting. The cast-on- strap couplings 15 are formed after the gas blasting. The cast-on-strap couplings 15 are formed by introducing the plate lugs 13, 14 into strap alloys of a molten lead base in strap metal molds, and by solidifying the molten strap alloys with the strap metal molds.
