PURPOSE: To improve the productivity of a casting mold by executing common use of the gas-hardening mold manufacturing method to the self curing mold manufacturing method.
CONSTITUTION: Coating is executed by applying the self curing mold molding method where the mixture of alkaline resol type phenol resin and organic ester which is liquid at room temperature with the molding sand is used, and after molding, curing is executed by permeating the ester gas. The preferable content of alkaline resol type phenol resin is 40-70wt.%, while the effectiveness of the bonding material is reduced by excessive water amount with the content under 40wt.%, and it becomes difficult to use due to excessively high viscosity with the content over 70wt.%. In this method, the casting mold can be manufactured where larger molds can be manufactured at low cost, and larger or smaller molds can be manufactured with high productivity.
