Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a centering sleeve capable of being simply manufactured at a low cost in view of manufacturing technique and having an improved operating characteristic over a longer time in use even under an increasing bending load and to provide its manufacturing method.
CONSTITUTION: A cold-workable material is deep-drawn on the support 2 of a centering sleeve to form a wall section 7 having a profile opened into a U- shape in the axial direction, a cover body 4 made of a polymer material is provided on the profile, then the outer diameter 8 is compressed in the radial direction and/or the inner diameter 9 is expanded in the radial direction for a size correction.
