Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a manufacture of a ceramic crown having incompatibility by compression solved by using a material which expands isotropically by a compression portion as caused during a molding-baking period of a ceramic powder as molding material.

CONSTITUTION: A molding material comprises a material in which a microcapsule-shaped heat expanding resin is dispersed uniformly in an elastic rubber body and the capsule-shaped resin is sealed with a heat gasifying substance such as isobuthane to expand the capsule-shaped resin with an expansion by heating. The resin herein applicable is a copolymer of vinylidene chloride- acrylonitrile or the like and the resin is added in an amount of about 3-15% with the heating temperature being preferably in the range of 60-100°C. The elastic rubber body is desirably polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber or the like. The material of ceramics can employ zirconia, alumina and mullite in a single form or a compound composition such as zirconia-alumina or zirconia- mullite. This enables the correction of a total compression rate of polycrystalline ceramics with high strength and toughness thereby providing a the method for manufacturing a highly accurate ceramic crown.
