PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for a ceramic superconducting conductor being excellent in superconducting characteristic and suitable for a conductor or a current lead of a magnet, a cable, or the like.
CONSTITUTION: In a manufacturing method for a ceramic superconducting conductor, where raw material powder capable of forming the superconducting conductor is cold hydrostatic compressed into a compression pressed body, which is filled into a metal tube so as to be a complex billet, and the complex billet is drawn so as to make a complex wire, to which assigned heat treatment is performed, cold hydrostatic compression is performed to the raw material, where a compression process is performed repeatedly at least twice as changing pressure successively at a high pressure P1 of 1000kg/cm2 or more and at a low pressure P2 of 200kg/cm2 or more less than P1. Thereby, when a pressure is reduced from the high pressure P1 to the low pressure P2, mutual position displacement among the powder particles of the raw material powder compression pressed body occur, and the displaced powder particles are buried into holes so that the density of the raw material powder compression pressed body is heighten, and it is possible to obtain the ceramic superconducting conductor having excellent superconducting characteristic.
