Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a drum strong and in light weight further with a low price, by rolling an iron plate punched with guide grooes and welding a reinforcing plate to the internal periphery of the rolled iron plate. CONSTITUTION:A suitable iron plate is used as a material, and a guide groove 1 is punched by a press to an optional shape on the iron plate of plane shape. Accordingly, not only good workability is obtained but a groove face can be delicately formed as compared with a finish by cutting. This iron plate is formed to a pipe shape so as to position the groove 1 in the peripheral direction and an iron cylinder 2 is formed, and then its joint part 3 is welded, but under this condition the groove 1 is formed along the peripheral direction of the iron cylinder, and this causes a problem for torsional strength of the iron cylinder, then a reinforcing plate 5 is used. The plate 5 is formed to a longitudinal shape, in which a hollowed part 4 is provided to a place corresponding to the groove 1 to prevent a contact to a roll at its fitting to the groove 1, and attached to an internal surface in the shaft direction of the iron cyliner opened with both ends, and the joint part is suitably welded.
