Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture the metal plate having a good adhesion of a base metal and clad material even in case of a thin clad material by performing the assembly welding of prior to rolling by an electron beam or laser beam in manufacturing the title metal plate whose whole products thickness of after rolling is more than constant and whose clad material thickness is less than constant.

CONSTITUTION: The clad metal plate that the whole product of after rolling is ≥60mm and the clad material thickness prior to rolling in ≤18mm is manufactured. In this case, the clad material 2 is laminated on a base metal 1 after cleaning the face to be joined of the base metal 1 and clad material 2. The laminated base metal 1 and clad material 2 are carried into a vacuum chamber 6 and after setting the chamber 6 in the prescribed vacuum degrees the electron beam is projected in parallel to the joining face on the outer peripheral whole body of the joining face of the base metal 1 and clad material 2. The outer peripheral part of the joining face is then melted, closely welded by the weld zone 4 in a big penetration depth and the weld zone 4 is not damaged at the hot or warm rolling time of the base metal 1 and clad material 2 thereafter. Consequently the clad metal plate 5 having good adhesion is obtd.
