PURPOSE: To improve the adhesion on the following joining face by fitting a scum sticking preventing plate onto the joining face cleaned and subjected to cementation preventing treatment to the base metal of a clad material in manufacturing it by a cast-in method.
CONSTITUTION: The cementation preventing treatment of a foil coating or plating, etc., is executed on the clean face removing an iron oxide, etc., of the joining face to the base metal of a clad material 1. The scum sticking preventing plate 2 of light weight and combustible, for instance working a sufficiently dried lumber in a plate shape, is fitted to this joining face 4 so as to eliminate any gap. For instance, the preventing plate 2 is divided into plural pieces in the vertical direction, arranged by abutting them and fastened in a plate shape to the joining face 4 of the clad material 1 by a metal made fastening band 3. This is installed at the specified position inside a mold A and the base metal molten steel 6 is poured from a pouring port, then the scum 5 floating on the molten steel is checked at its adhesion to the clad material 1 by the preventing plate 2. The band 3 is then melted, the preventing plate 2 is floated and burned by being peeled off and the clean part and clean face 4 of the molten steel 6 are adhered by fusion.
