To easily manufacture a collar nut having arbitrary length by separately forming a cylinder part having a prescribed length and a base part having a flange-shaped projection at the end part and a through-hole or female screw and welding the end part of the cylinder part with the projection side end part of the base part so that the axial lines are mutually matched.
The cylinder part 1 having the prescribed length L and the base part 2 provided with the flange-shaped projection 2a at the end part and the through-hole 2b or the screw hole 2c, are separately formed. Thereafter, one side of the end part of the cylinder part 1 is welded 3 with the end part at the flange-shaped projection 2a of the base part 2 so that the axial lines R are mutually matched, and integrated. Since the length L of the cylinder part can arbitrarily be preset, the collar or the collar nut 4 having the prescribed length can be easily manufactured by changing this length L. In this way, since many dies are unnecessary to be prepared for each product dimension, the manufacturing cost is reduced and also, a product excellent in the strength and the profitability, is obtd.
