Abstract:
PURPOSE:To restrain light scattering with an extremely thin film and to obtain necessary spectral characteristics by forming fine dye particles small in particle diameter on dyes greater in particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:The color filter comprises the fine dye particles insoluble or hardly soluble in water, a surfactant electrically chargeable by an electric field, and a supporting electrolyte as fundamental component. The extremely thin dye film is formed by preparing an aqueous micelle colloid solution of the dye enclosed by this surfactant having a colloid particle diameter distribution having a peak in >=1800nm and decomposing these micelles by electrolysis to deposit the fine dye particles on a transparent electrode and to form the thin dye film 1. Then, the thin dye film 2 is formed by preparing an aqueous micelle colloid solution having a colloid particle diameter distribution having a peak in <=1800nm and electrolyzing it in this solution to deposit on the thin dye film 1.
