To enable manufacturing of a composite casting for heightening abrasion resistance and lubricity without deteriorating cutting workability of a casting, reduce its costs, and restrain distortion caused by thermal stress.
This method comprises the step (101) of manufacturing a pattern of a shape corresponding to a casting from an evaporative material, the step (103) wherein different kind materials which are different in mechanical property from a main body part exist and are adhered at one part on the surface of the pattern, the step (104) of pouring the pattern after the different kind material is adhered into a mold, and the step (106). In the step (106), a molten metallic material for forming the main body part is poured into the mold, and the pattern in the mold is evaporated, so as to replace a space occupied with the pattern with the molten metal. Then, different kind surface parts comprising a main body part of the molten metal replaced up to more than thickness to be removed by machine processing after manufacturing of the casting and the different kind material different in a mechanical property, are placed at one part on the surface of the main body part.
