Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manufacturing process, and to cut down a manufacturing cost by forming the connecting fittings for the fluid pipe line by cold extrusion. SOLUTION: A diameter expansion part is formed by drawing and upsetting at one end of a bar shape stock. Next, this diameter expansion part is formed to a shape having a bottomed cylinder shape socket part 3 and a bar shape part 4a projecting by half length of the length of the socket part 3 from the inner bottom part of the socket part 3. Further, after an annealing process, and after forming a concave 4b at the tip of the bar shape part 4a, the bar shape part 4a is formed by backward extrusion to a tube shape having about the same length as that of the socket part 3, and a nipple part 4 is formed.
