Abstract:
PURPOSE:To lower the inertia of a coreless armature capable of employing a fully closed construction by use of a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and acrylic nitrile as a thermosetting resin to make the winding part of the armature solidly rigid. CONSTITUTION:An armature winding block in which single coils each wound with a self-melting insulated wire are aligned flat is electrically connected to a commutator to obtain an armature winding. A fine capsule made of a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and acrylic nitrile containing for example isobutane as aliphatic compound is prepared to obtain a thermosetting resin. The thermosetting resin having said fine capsules is placed into a die preheated with the armature winding and then, the die is clamped to obtain a flat coreless armature.
