Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance of a heat exchanger for an automobile having copper and copper alloy tubes with fins, to particularly improve corrosion resistance of the fins, and to prevent corrosion due to snow melting agent or sea salt particles.
CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a complex compound film of thin alkylimidazole and copper element on a surface of a fin comprises the steps of mounting the fin on a tube, forming the film 0.1-10μm thick on an assembly, and heat treating it under predetermined conditions to improve its effect.
