Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent electrolytic corrosion between dissimilar metallic parts constituting a cylinder lock.
CONSTITUTION: A key cylinder 12 with a plurality of slots 13 is formed of a first metal, and a tumbler 14 composed of a second metal having an ionization tendency different from the first metal is press-molded. The surface of a tumbler material is coated with an insulating resin to form a coating 22, and the tumbler material with the coating 22 is press-molded, thus shaping the tumbler 14. The tumblers 14 are inserted into the slots 13 of the key cylinder 12 together with springs 23, and the key cylinder 12 is arranged into a case 11, thus manufacturing a cylinder lock.
