PURPOSE: To fill zinc powder in a cylindrical negative electrode charging space in a cylindrical alkaline battery to change inclusion distribution of zinc powder continuously along the height of the space by use of a simple manufacturing means.
CONSTITUTION: A specified quantity of electrolyte 4 is injected into a negative electrode charging space of a bottom-equipped cylinder form surrounded by positive electrode mix 2 through a separator 3. Next, zinc powders 5 dry-mixed with gelatizer is added to the electrolyte 4 in the space, where an addition speed of the zinc powder 5 is regulated properly to a gelatinization reaction speed by addition of the gelatinizer. Inclusion distribution of the zinc powders in a gelatinized negative electrode filled in the space is thus changed continuously along the height of the space.
