PURPOSE: To manufacture double-layer glass without requiring having work by sealing a high molecular substance made of polymer of a specified unsated. monomer between opposite glass plates placed at a fixed interval and crosslinking the substance.
CONSTITUTION: A crosslinking agent or a catalyst is added to a high molecular substance made of polymer of an unsatd. monomer selected from alkyl and cycloalkyl acrylate and alkyl and cycloalkyl esters of methacrylic acid such as methyl methacrylate and cyclohexyl methacrylate or polymer based on such a monomer to prepare a fluidizing resin liq. This resin liq. is sealed between the glass plates opposedly placed at a fixed interval at room temp. under reduced or elevated pressure. With the passage of a fixed time the resin liq. is solidified to jelly by crosslinking. Thus, double-layer glass having high noise intercepting performance is obtd.
